In the past few years, the Yiren Charity Foundation has led young people to accompany and serve the elderly. It has often been observed that the care of the demented elderly is even more difficult than that of the disabled elderly, and they require more outside assistance. Seeing these needs, the Yiren team decided to apply for funding subsidies from the Ministry of Health and Welfare this year, and work with the Taoyuan City Government Health Bureau to promote dementia community service centers, hoping to enter the community and provide substantial help to families in need.
ShareHope participates in community service with Yiren Foundation
Set goals
- Through dementia community service centers, accompany dementia families in the community nearby, so that people with potential dementia can intervene in early diagnosis and implement referral services to improve the dementia care system.
- Improve people's understanding of dementia and eliminate prejudices and misunderstandings about dementia.
- Provide a friendly stress-relief environment for patients with dementia and caregivers, and arrange courses such as cognitive promotion, sensory stimulation, and multiple adjuvant therapies, which can help slow down the functional deterioration of people with dementia, promote interpersonal interaction, and extend care to the main care By.
- Hire professional teachers who have received dementia training to lead cognitive promotion, physical fitness, dementia delay, and other related training courses and activities, so that the elderly with dementia can maintain autonomy and even restore self-management ability.
- Enhance the awareness of dementia by people with dementia, caregivers, and their families, improve the quality of life of the family, and establish an emotional support system for people with dementia and a sense of belonging to community centers.
Since 2021, ShareHope has set up a budget to pay the rent of the venue every year, and provided the Yiren Love Foundation for free as the Ailin community service center 2.0, so that the demented elders have a warm and comfortable environment.
